I think this photo was taken more than ten year ago. Because, Himeji castle was repaired through 2009-2015 and painted white shown below. The castle in this photo is not white, so I think it is taken before the renovation of the roof and walls .

If you got off the train at Nankai-Namba Station, the famous illuminated signboards at Ebisu Bridge on the Dōtonbori Canal is nearby . It is two or three hundred meters . It is very crowded .

In the Himeji Castle, there is a Japanese-style garden named Koko-en Garden . You will be able to experience the Japanese tea ceremony in the tearoom in it . This is my recommendation .
